Pittston Tournament 08/09/08

A mixed bag of results on Saturday for HR's "next generation" of Boys Soccer. This pre-season tournament gave everyone a chance to see the team under the pressure of competition, and a chance for our staff to dust off the photo gear and click a few (hundred) shots. In the end, HR played Valley West to as close a game as ever, tied a game we should have won, lost a game we should have tied, then logged a convincing victory against a higher seed in the final game. Lots of positives from these matches, including breaking a scoring drought, lots of new faces contributing, and very little confrontation on the sidelines (it's still early). Perhaps the best sign is that our kids seem to be having fun- there is a "buzz" around this team- we'll see what the season brings!
