HR v Hazleton 09/04/07
The nice thing about a new school is the fact that new traditions can be created. No one is tied to the routines of the past, so customs that will carry on for generations can be established now, from a completely clean slate. There is plenty of pressure on this team anyway, so it is interesting to see how we respond to this additional responsibility. So far, the only tradition emerging is a longer than necessary, misdirected, multi-stop trip to the away fields. I have to believe that we can do better. In spite of Hazleton's best efforts to hide their field, the Royals found their way Tuesday night and turned in an impressive showing. After giving up an early goal, HR battled through a physical game, and although chances were created at both ends of the field, the final score remained 1-0 after the full 80 minutes. The first ever regular season victory will have to come another day, with the next chance coming Thursday at Eddie White.
