I defy anyone to explain the phenomenon known as "The Hobes". As parents, or coaches, we like to teach our kids that winning is not the most important thing about sports. Never in my life have I seen a group that truly embraces that concept as much as the Hobes. 4 years ago, as the team was starting at the WVSD, goals were few and far between, and victories were unheard of. Week after week, the unfazed team showed up, played hard, and stole something from the lost & found to stay entertained- establishing the tradition of randomness to the Hobe uniform. Chris, Nick, & Mike Loftus were all part of the original squad, along with Aaron Urbanski, Ben "Crazy Eyes" Brajokowski, and a cast of half-skilled role-players. Win? Never. Fun? Always!
